Teer Coatings Ltd. is a specialist Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) coating company, consisting of three distinct business functions: the design and manufacture of a wide range of coating deposition equipment, test equipment and magnetrons; commercial coating services; and R&D – both contract and in house.

Teer Coatings Ltd was formed in 1985 and now employs over 50 staff. Approximately one third of the Company’s resources are devoted to R&D, one third to the provision of an ISO9001 certified production coatings service and one third to the ISO9001 certified design, development and supply of advanced coating deposition and related test equipment.

Strategically the Company invests extensively in modern equipment and in R&D to maintain a worldwide lead in thin film coating technology, which is then exploited commercially. The Company’s key intellectual property, both technology and coatings related, is protected by patents.
