Barrel Coating Systems

The Teer Coatings Ltd UDP Barrel coating systems have been designed to coat large volumes of difficult to handle components such as fasteners, powders and ball bearings. The coaters are suitable for the deposition of metal, alloy and compound coatings on a large number of loose components which are gently tumbled in a rotating component drum. Coatings deposited in the barrel coating system provide all over coverage of components, eliminating the requirement for fixturing during the coating process.

• gold coatings for decorative purposes
• coating of powders and grits

• Penning/Pirani combination with an Edwards active gauge controller with digital display
• capacitance manometer
• specially designed “PLASMAG” sputter sources

• two sets of removable shields to simplify chamber cleaning
• two component holders (drums) designed to customer specifications and drum handling system
• can be used in oscillating or rotating mode
